WHY GOLDEN RATIO IS RELATED TO PHOTOGRAPHY

What is golden ratio?

-In mathematics, two quantities are in the golden ratio if their ratio is the same as the ratio of their sum to the larger of the two quantities. The figure on the right illustrates the geometric relationship. Expressed algebraically, for quantities a and b with a > b > 0,
where the Greek letter phi ( or ) represents the golden ratio. It is an irrational number with a value of:
The golden ratio is also called the golden mean or golden section.
(source:wikipedia)

-you can trace the curve of this golden ratio by making squares using fibonacci sequence{0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,.....}.It is sum of previous numbers,{[0],[1],[0+1=1],[1+1=2],[1+2=3],...}.

Why it is related to photography?

-Golden ratio relates Maths and Art in Photography and Painting. Mona lisa ,The last supper paintings of leonardo da vinci are example of this.

How to use golden ratio photography?

-You can use your camera grid, which uses 'Rule of third'.

Rule of third:
The rule of thirds is applied by aligning a subject with the guide lines and their intersection points, placing the horizon on the top or bottom line, or allowing linear features in the image to flow from section to section. The main reason for observing the rule of thirds is to discourage placement of the subject at the center, or prevent a horizon from appearing to divide the picture in half.

So when we combines the golden ratio and Rule of third (camera grid) we gets something like this,
